Peter R. Kowey, M.D., FACC, FACP, FACCP, FCP - Medical Director and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board

Dr. Kowey joined CardioNet as its Medical Director in 2002 and was named Chairman of the MAB in March, 2009. He is Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases for the Main Line Health System, including Lankenau Hospital. He is also Professor of Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at Jefferson Medical College, and President of the Heart Center of the Main Line Health System. He has served as a member of the Cardiorenal Drug Advisory Committee and the Cardiovascular Devices Committee of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and holds the William Wikoff Smith Chair in Cardiovascular Research. Dr. Kowey received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

David G. Benditt, M.D., FACC, FRCP(C), FHRS

Dr. Benditt is Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia and Syncope Center at University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Benditt is a past president of the North American Society for Pacing and Electrophysiology (now known as the Heart Rhythm Society). He currently is an Associate editor with the Journal of Interventional Electrophysiology (JICE) and is an editorial board member of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), Europace, and the American Journal of Cardiology (AJC). Dr. Benditt received his medical degree from the University of Manitoba.

Kenneth A. Ellenbogen, M.D., FACC

Dr. Ellenbogen is the Vice-Chairman of Cardiology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and was awarded the Kontos Endowed Professorship in 2000. He also serves as Director of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at both VCU's MCV Campus and the McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Ellenbogen serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, American Journal of Cardiology, American Heart Journal, Circulation, the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Heart Rhythm and is one of the Senior Editors of PACE. Dr. Ellenbogen received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Scott Eric Kasner, M.D., MSCE, FAHA

Dr. Kasner is Associate Professor of Neurology and Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the leadership committee of the American Stroke Association and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease, as well as the stroke section editor of UpToDate. Dr. Kasner received his medical degree from Yale Medical School.

Arthur J. Moss, M.D.

Dr. Moss is Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Professor of Community and Preventive Medicine at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He is also the Director of the Heart Research Follow-up Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Editor-in-Chief for the Annals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology. Dr. Moss received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

Evelio Rodriguez, M.D., FACS

Dr. Rodriguez is a practicing cardiothoracic surgeon at the Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University, where he is Assistant Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics in the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences. Dr. Rodriguez received his medical degree from Albany Medical College.

William S. Weintraub, M.D., FACC, FAHA

Dr. Weintraub is the John H. Ammon Chair of Cardiology at Christiana Care Health System, Professor of Medicine at Jefferson University and Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware. He is also director of the Christiana Center for Outcomes Research, which focuses on identifying and supporting ?best practices? in medicine and improving health care. He is Chairman of the CathPCI Steering Committee for the American College of Cardiology National Cardiovascular Data Registry. Dr. Weintraub received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University.
