Jr. Network Administrator


To support the Information Technology Department. Handles user setups, user support and basic server maintenance/issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • 20% End-User support including MS-Office application support.
  • 15% Troubleshooting desktop, server, LAN/WAN, hardware and software.
  • 10% Network administration including, user adds, changes. deletions.
  • 10% Server administration and troubleshooting.
  • 10% Phone system adds, moves, and changes.
  • 10% 24x7 support of productions systems.
  • 10% Software and hardware inventory accuracy.
  • 10% Other duties or special projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and\or Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Technical certifications or related degree.
  • Teamwork, multi-tasking, and excellent communication skills.
  • Windows – XP Professional, Server 2003, 2000 Advanced Server
  • Office 2003 and 2007
  • Dell desktops, IBM laptops & HP servers
  • PC Imaging.
  • TCP/IP
  • Exchange 2003-2007
  • Active Directory/Group Policy.


Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Strong customer service and organization, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, team player, demonstrates initiative and flexibility in a fast paced environment.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several variables.
