Senior Embedded Software Engineer
CardioNet provides real-time remote heart monitoring and analysis using our own innovative hardware and software products.
Description
CardioNet provides a new, integrated technology and service—Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry—which allows heartbeat-by-heartbeat, ECG monitoring, analysis and response, at home or away, 24/7/365.
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining deeply embedded software for a portable medical instrument. The successful candidate will be a team player who has a track record of creating quality software in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Requirements definition through preliminary and detailed design, coding, testing and integration.
- Develop high and low level routines for portable medical device.
- Develop drivers for various peripherals (UART, McBSP, NAND etc).
- Participating in overall system design team meetings and reviews.
- Requires close interaction and participation with a team of software and hardware developers.
- Definition phase will include working closely with marketing and clinical personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- A minimum of five years experience in a team-based software engineering role.
- TI development tool chain experience desired.
- Experience with TI DSP and TI MSP430 desired.
- Good software development process skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong commitment to meeting customer needs.
- Good “team player”, strong interpersonal skills.
- "Self starter", highly motivated.
