Randy H. Thurman
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

Randy Thurman was appointed Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of CardioNet in February of 2009. He also served as the CardioNet Executive Chairman of the Board from July 2008 through February 2009. Prior to CardioNet, Randy was Chairman & CEO of VIASYS Healthcare Inc. (NYSE:VAS), a global leader in respiratory, neurological and medical/surgical technologies. Randy founded VIASYS in 2001 and led the consolidation of 15 independent companies and the subsequent public offering on the New York Stock Exchange. In mid 2007 VIASYS was acquired by Cardinal Health Inc. in a transaction which represented a fourfold increase in enterprise value over the five years the company was public. Randy was named an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in healthcare technology in 2007. VIASYS was named by Smart Money magazine as one of the ten best investments for the decade.

Prior to joining VIASYS Healthcare Inc., Randy was CEO of Strategic Reserves LLC and participated in various entrepreneurial ventures including the start-up of two medical device companies, two genomics companies and, as Chairman of the Board of Enzon Inc., guided their growth from a $70 million market capitalization to over $2.5 billion. Previously, Randy was Chairman & CEO of Corning Life Sciences Inc. which grew from $700 million to over $2 billion in revenue and subsequently was spun off as two NYSE companies. Earlier in his career, Randy was with Rorer Pharmaceuticals Inc. and led its successful acquisition of Revlon Healthcare and subsequent merger with Rhône-Poulenc. Randy served as President of Rorer Pharmaceuticals Inc. and President, Rhône-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals Inc. Randy holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and an M.A. in Economics from Webster University. He also graduated from the United States Air Force Air Command & Staff College.


Martin P. Galvan
Chief Financial Officer

Martin P. Galvan joined CardioNet in October 2007. Previously, Marty held several positions with Viasys Healthcare Inc., a healthcare technology company, most recently as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director Investor Relations. From 1999 to 2001, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Rodel, Inc., a precision surface technologies company. From 1979 to 1998, Marty held several positions with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals, Inc., including Vice President Finance Worldwide; President & General Manager, RPR Mexico & Central America; Vice President, Finance, Europe/Asia Pacific; and Chief Financial Officer, United Kingdom and Ireland. Marty received an undergraduate degree in Economics from Rutgers University.


Curt Baldwin
Vice President, Information Technology

Curt Baldwin joined CardioNet in April 2003, bringing over 10 years of IT and Engineering experience. Prior to joining CardioNet, Curt held IT positions with several medical device companies including ALARIS Medical Systems, now part of Cardinal Health, Instromedix and Respironics. His engineering experience has had him consulting for companies such as Nokia, Lockheed Martin and Cisco Systems. Curt received his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.


JR Finkelmeier
Vice President, Marketing

JR Finkelmeier has served as the Vice President of Marketing since May 2007. JR joined CardioNet following the acquisition of PDSHeart, where he served as Regional Sales Director from December 2005 to May 2007 and as Regional Accounts Manager from March 2003 to November 2005. From 2000 to February 2003, JR served as General Manager of Veritas Partners, a Midwest-based venture capital and management company. JR received an undergraduate degree in Pre-Professional Studies from the University of Notre Dame.


Charles Gropper
Vice President, Research and Development

Charles Gropper joined CardioNet in January 2008. Charles brings nearly 30 years of experience in the design and development of medical devices. Prior to CardioNet, Charles most recently served as Vice President, Engineering at HepaHope, Inc., working on the design of an artificial liver system from 2005 to 2008. Prior to his experience with HepaHope, Charles has held several senior engineering management positions with such companies as Cameron Health, Inc., Cardiac Science, Inc. Datascope Corp., and Bear Medical Systems. Charles received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from California State University, Fullerton.


George Hrenko
Vice President, Human Resources

George Hrenko joined CardioNet in June 2008. Most recently, George served as a Director of Human Resources for Target Corporation from February 2002 to March 2007. From December 1998 to February 2002, George held several positions with Bank One Corporation, including First Vice President, Human Resources Generalist, Vice President, Compensation, and Vice President, Corporate Staffing. From 1996 to 1998 he served as Managing Director, Human Resources for Continental Airlines. Prior to Continental Airlines, George served as Human Resources Manager at Pepsi-Cola Co, Pepsico, Inc., from 1987 to 1996. George received an undergraduate degree in English and Psychology from Penn State University.


John Imperato
Senior Vice President, Business Operations

John Imperato joined CardioNet in June 2008, bringing several years of experience in business operations in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining CardioNet, John was SVP of Integration and Business Operations for Cardinal Health, and SVP, Corporate Finance and Business Operations for VIASYS, which included the VIASYS Clinical Services business. Prior to joining VIASYS, John held several healthcare roles, including CFO of Auxilium, Inc., and EVP and CFO of IBAH, Inc, a subsidiary of Omnicare Clinical Services. Earlier in his career, John held various positions at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, including Group VP of Finance for Worldwide Industrial Operations. John received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Manhattan College, and an MBA in Corporate Financial Management from Pace University.


Philip G. Leone
Senior Vice President, Reimbursement Services, Regulatory and Compliance

Philip joined CardioNet with over 16 years of experience working with CMS, commercial payors, managed care organizations and reimbursement services. Prior to joining CardioNet, Philip successfully served in numerous sales and executive sales management positions within Legend Healthcare where he was one of their initial hires and concluded as Executive Vice President/COO. Philip has negotiated hundreds of contracts, including fee for service and risk sharing arrangements as well. Philip received his undergraduate degree from Western New England College in Springfield MA and was a Board Member of CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) from April 2000 – April 2001.


Matthew Margolies
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Matt Margolies joined CardioNet in January 2009. Matt brings over 20 years of experience in the medical device and medical products industry, with extensive experience in the Cardio-Pulmonary, Cardiology, and Cardiology imaging areas. Prior to CardioNet, Matt was the VP of Sales for the Respiratory Care division at Cardinal Health. Prior to Cardinal Health, Matt held several management positions with Viasys Healthcare (acquired by Cardinal Health in 2007), including Division President of Respiratory Diagnostics, SVP of Sales and Marketing Respiratory Diagnostics, and VP of US Sales for Respiratory Diagnostics. As a sales and marketing leader, he was responsible for the worldwide management of the Respiratory Diagnostics Group where he led 25% growth year over year. Before Viasys Healthcare, from 1993 to 2004 Matt held sales and marketing positions for the Mallinckrodt division of Covidien Healthcare. Matt received an undergraduate degree in marketing from Ramapo College in NJ.


Anna McNamara RN
Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations

Anna McNamara joined CardioNet from LifeWatch, where she served as Executive Vice President of Clinical Operations, responsible for all clinical monitoring operations, clinical research activities, and quality assurance. Prior to that experience, Anna served as Vice President of Clinical Operations for Quality Diagnostic Services/WebMD, and led clinical operations at NMC Diagnostic Services and Survival Technology Inc. Previously, Anna served as RN team leader in cardiac care units at New York University Hospital and Bellevue Hospital. Anna received her undergraduate degree from Marymount College and her RN at Mercy Hospital.


Edward Stone
Vice President, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Edward Stone, a 25 year veteran of healthcare reimbursement, regulatory and compliance operations has performed in various arenas including regional HME providers, small orthopedic technology start-up businesses, large national home care and infusion providers, and mid-size diagnostic service providers. His experiences range from operational strategic planning, compliant sales-growth & managed care strategies, HIPAA, and reimbursement-billing operations.
