James M. Sweeney
Executive Chairman
Mr. Sweeney has served as the CardioNet Executive Chairman and as a member of the board of directors since November 2007. From April 2000 to November 2007, Mr. Sweeney served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Sweeney served as the founder, Chairman and CEO for Cerner Bridge Medical, a company specializing in medication error prevention. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Sweeney served as the founder, Chairman and CEO of Coram, Inc. a home intravenous, or IV therapy company. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Sweeney served as Chairman and CEO of McGaw, Inc. (acquired by IVAX Corp. in 1994) an IV solution manufacturer. From 1989 to 1990, Mr. Sweeney served as the founder, Chairman and CEO of Central Admixture Pharmacy Services (CAPS), a subsidiary of B. Braun Medical Inc., an IV solution manufacturer. From
1989 to 1990, he served as the founder, Chairman and CEO of CareGivers, a high tech home care partnership. From 1988 to 1989, he served as the founder, Chairman and CEO of CarePartners, a 24/7/365 nursing call center and from 1979 to 1987 he served as the founder, Chairman and CEO of Caremark, Inc., a health infusion services and prescription management company. received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Arie Cohen
President and Chief Executive Officer
Arie Cohen joined CardioNet in November 2007. Arie brings over 30 years of experience in the medical device and medical products industry. Prior to CardioNet, Arie held several management positions with Viasys Healthcare (acquired by Cardinal Health in 2007), including SVP of Strategic Initiatives, EVP/GM Respiratory Care, and Group President, Respiratory Care Division. As Group President, he was responsible for over 1200 employees in various locations around the globe. Arie was instrumental in streamlining several of the Viasys operating units, and is responsible for directing substantial revenue growth, including a 30% growth in 2006 ($406 million total revenues). Earlier in his career, Arie served as President and CEO of Card Guard USA, Inc., a cardiac monitoring and telehealth company, and held executive management positions with Respironics, Datascope, and Air-Shields. Arie received a BSEE from the California State Polytechnic University, and a MSEE from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Martin P. Galvan
Chief Financial Officer
Martin P. Galvan joined CardioNet in October 2007. Previously, Marty held several positions with Viasys Healthcare Inc., a healthcare technology company, most recently as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director Investor Relations. From 1999 to 2001, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Rodel, Inc., a precision surface technologies company. From 1979 to 1998, Marty held several positions with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals, Inc., including Vice President Finance Worldwide; President & General Manager, RPR Mexico & Central America; Vice President, Finance, Europe/Asia Pacific; and Chief Financial Officer, United Kingdom and Ireland. Marty received an undergraduate degree in Economics from Rutgers University.
Charles Gropper
Vice President, Research and Development
Charles Gropper joined CardioNet in January 2008. Charles brings nearly 30 years of experience in the design and development of medical devices. Prior to CardioNet, Charles most recently served as Vice President, Engineering at HepaHope, Inc., working on the design of an artificial liver system from 2005 to 2008. Prior to his experience with HepaHope, Charles has held several senior engineering management positions with such companies as Cameron Health, Inc., Cardiac Science, Inc. Datascope Corp., and Bear Medical Systems. Charles received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from California State University, Fullerton.
JR Finkelmeier
Vice President, Marketing
JR Finkelmeier has served as the Vice President of Marketing since May 2007.
JR joined CardioNet following the acquisition of PDSHeart, where he served as Regional Sales Director from December 2005 to May 2007 and as Regional Accounts Manager from March 2003 to November 2005. From 2000 to February 2003, JR served as General Manager of Veritas Partners, a Midwest-based venture capital and management company. JR received an undergraduate degree in Pre-Professional Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
Michael Forese
Vice President, Finance and Administration
Mike Forese joined CardioNet from CRT Pharmaceuticals where he served as Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer. He previously served in senior financial and operating roles in companies such as Research Pharmaceutical Services, Inc, IBAH Pharmaceutical Services, Paraxel International and Imperial Chemical Industries. Mike received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Villanova University and an MBA from Drexel University.
Manny Gerolamo
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Manny Gerolamo joined CardioNet in January 2008. Manny has over 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry covering a wide array of therapeutic areas, including cardiology, neurology, and organ transplantation. Prior to CardioNet, Manny held several senior level management positions with companies including Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Fournier Pharma, and Novartis, with emphasis in the sales, marketing, managed care, and operations functions. Manny received his undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology from Lehman College and an MBA in General Management from New York University.
Philip G. Leone
Vice President, Managed Care
Philip joined CardioNet with over 16 years of experience working with CMS, commercial payors, managed care organizations and reimbursement services. Prior to joining CardioNet, Philip successfully served in numerous sales and executive sales management positions within Legend Healthcare where he was one of their initial hires and concluded as Executive Vice President/COO. Philip has negotiated hundreds of contracts, including fee for service and risk sharing arrangements as well. Philip received his undergraduate degree from Western New England College in Springfield MA and was a Board Member of CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) from April 2000 – April 2001.
Anna McNamara RN
Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations
Anna McNamara joined CardioNet from LifeWatch, where she served as Executive Vice President of Clinical Operations, responsible for all clinical monitoring operations, clinical research activities, and quality assurance. Prior to that experience, Anna served as Vice President of Clinical Operations for Quality Diagnostic Services/WebMD, and led clinical operations at NMC Diagnostic Services and Survival Technology Inc. Previously, Anna served as RN team leader in cardiac care units at New York University Hospital and Bellevue Hospital. Anna received her undergraduate degree from Marymount College and her RN at Mercy Hospital.
Edward Stone
Vice President, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
Edward Stone, a 25 year veteran of healthcare reimbursement, regulatory and compliance operations has performed in various arenas including regional HME providers, small orthopedic technology start-up businesses, large national home care and infusion providers, and mid-size diagnostic service providers. His experiences range from operational strategic planning, compliant sales-growth & managed care strategies, HIPAA, and reimbursement-billing operations.
Chris Strasinski
Vice President, Sales
Chris Strasinski has been with CardioNet since December 2002, where he has served as Vice President of Sales, National Sales Director and Regional Sales Director. From 2000 to December 2002, Chris served as a Regional Sales Director for Digirad Imagining Solutions, a leader in mobile nuclear imaging services. Chris received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Lynn University.
